Kayleigh Mills - Media Studies

I haven't yet decided what I want to do. I'm thinking about the possibility of university but I'm not sure yet. For a start I don't know exactly what I wan to do. One of my strengths is being creative, and I think I would most enjoy a job where I could use this skill as I find myself very happy when I can make something that's individual and artistic as my pictures show.

I also have a great love of music, which was initially what attracted me to media studies. I have given some consideration to looking for something where I could combine the two, as music and art tend to go hand in hand.

Although I have a good attention to detail, some of my weaknesses are my lack of confidence, which I am working on and improving, and I tend to sometimes not incorporate a great deal of research into my work, which is something I am now very aware of. I think this is because i'm eager to get on and make something which I can put my mark on, so I tend to forget the research, but I think my enthusiasm to be creative shows I am quite an independent person. Although I'm not an extremely loud and forward person I think that I manage to get my point across and make an impact with my work, like with my life jacket. I was set a task to advertise myself to a potential employer but i'm not very keen on standing up and speaking in front of people, especially when I have to talk about myself, so I made a waist coat, printing and painting on to it all of my positive qualities and my achievements, I also made it because I enjoy doing something different.
