Alex Coppins - Media Studies

My name is Alex

I am seventeen years old and turn eighteen in April.

I am currently in my second year of working towards a BTEC National Diploma in Media Studies.

I gained all my GCSES results just over a year ago, which consisted of an A*, two A's, 3 B's and 2 C's.

During my first year I worked in retail where I built up my confidence and learnt new things and had a whole new experience which I was grateful for.

I hope to gain more new experiences by going to university and study Events Management or Promotions after I have completed the course; however I have become a little more indecisive and so am thinking about taking a gap year or looking for work.

I very much enjoy taking photographs, it is something that I have been interested in for a while and so was very passionate about it when I got the opportunity to study it for the first year of the course.

I take photos of anything and everything and ideally would love to find a job where I could put my skill into practise.

I also have a great interest in music and the music industry, I attend a lot of music gigs and am interested in how they are organised and put together.

I think that when put into practise I have a vast imagination and can be very devoted to my work.

At the moment I am still exploring and taking into account each area of the course and deciding if I could build my career around a particular field.

However I am optimistic and confident that whatever I decide to do will be right and I will work very hard at it.
