North West Kent College |
Jack Burden - Media Studies
I am 17 years old and I am currently studying media in North West Kent College. After the second year of my course I hope to go into a university and study a course that might be related to the media.
The area I hope the university will be around is one in London as London has a wide variety of universities to choose from and each one will hopefully have a range of courses to select from.
The skills that I have that could really help me to get into a university provides of being; hardworking, working in groups and the practical sides of work. These abilities could help me out as I'm pretty sure that a lot of courses require the student to be hard working (if not every course) and working in groups is kind of essential. I can get along with the theory based side of work but I don't really enjoy it as much as the practical sides of work.
The grades I have achieved so far are my GCSE's from my secondary school which range from B's from subjects like English and science to D's in subjects like maths and graphic design. These grades are average but as I have a wide variety of different GCSE's that does kind of help me out when it comes to the working life and in further education.
It seems far away but after university I probably would get into the working side of life as any other further education after that would restrict me of other possible opportunities. As for what and where I want to work is a different question as it does seem quite far away well in theory it isn't. Maybe something remotely related to what I have been studying at college as I am enjoying my course and slightly wished I studied media back at GCSE level back in secondary school.
