Hazel Brennan - Media Studies

My name is Hazel Brennan and I am currently in my second year of studying a national diploma in media studies. As well as studying media I am also retaking my GCSE English. I choose to do media at college when I left school because I enjoyed doing it as a GCSE however, since studying it at college I have discovered that I would like to do something else as a career, although I still do enjoy media. I just want to explore my options a little bit more while I am still young enough to do so as I feel that it's not the right time for me to decide on a permit career right now, as I do not know what I would like to do for a living.

My other interests that our outside of media are music and animals. I enjoy listening to music it can be either new or old and I attend gigs regularly. I also have been playing bass since the age of 14. As with animals I am very fond of them I have had many pets through out my life such as dogs, cats and fish. But these are not the only animals I like after an experience of tending to some different animals in secondary school I became interested in snakes, lizards and leopard geckos. If it were up to me I would own one of these reptiles.

After completing this course I hope to do another college course in animal management, as I would like to experience working with animals in a professional way instead of owning them as pets. I would like to see the world and its many cultures so I hope to find a career that would contribute to this in some way.

As a person I would say that I am happy/kind and thoughtful as I always try to make people laugh or cheer them up if they are upset. I know how to have fun but also know when to be serious too. I will always stand up for what I believe in and voice my opinion when I feel like it. And I am one to always ask questions when I do not understand.

I have had experience with the public due to working in furniture village from July 2006 to April 2007. I can speak some French and some Spanish and I am also currently learning how to drive and hope to be able to drive before the summer.
